Windows 7 will be the next release of Microsoft Windows Operating System after the Windows Vista. Windows 7 formerly codenamed Blackcomb and Vienna). Is is for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, tablet PCs, netbooks and media center PCs.

Improved taskbar and full-screen previews

In Windows 7 you can set the order in which the icons appear and they’ll stay put. The new taskbar has a bigger preview thumbnails that allow you to see a full screen preview before switching to the window.

Jump Lists

Windows 7’s jump lists is a handy way to quickly reach the files you have been working on. If you have another files you want to keep handy, just pin them to the jump list.

New ways to work with Windows

You can now change a window size by dragging it to some where. For example, dragging window’s border to the top of the screento maximize the screen and dragging it away from the top of the screen to restore it to the original size. To make all windows transparent, just drag your mouse to the lower right corner of your desktop.

Internet Explorer 8

Windows 7 uses Internet Explorer 8 as its default browser. The instant search feature in Internet Explorer allow you to see a list of relevant results while you are typing. You can go right to the result without finish keying in the request.

Windows 7 comes with Windows Live by default. A set of free application will be available for your PC, such as Windows Live Messenger, Photo Gallery, Mail, Writer, Movie Maker, and more.

In previous Windows’ operating systems, you will have different screen for different devices. But With Windows 7, you’ll use a single Devices and Printers screen to connect, manage, and use whatever printers, phones, and other devices you have on-hand.

Windows 7 simplifies the process of setting up a home network. HomeGroup in Windows 7 help to connect to other computers and devices in the network, so you can share files, music and printers throughout your home.

In Windows 7, user will experience the better performance on windows startup, shutdown, resume from standby and also faster responses..

In Windows 7, you are allowed to take control over the error message that prompt to you when windows encounter an error. You can choose what kind of message that you want to read. Instead of popping up an error message, you’ll see an Action Center icon and can find out more by clicking it.

The new Windows 7 media sharing features make you PC a hub for sharing your audio, video and picture throughout your home network. You can enjoy your music, pictures, and videos on other computers running Windows 7 and other devices in your home.
