GnuCash is personal and small-business financial-accounting software, freely licensed under the GNU GPL. It is available for major operating systems like GNU/Linux, BSD, Solaris, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.

Personally, I'm using this software toStock/Bond/Mutual Fund Accounts records both my personal expenses and my business transaction. I'm not an accounting professional but I found that GnuCash is quite easy to use and understand after reading the tutorial.
