Is Your PC Ready for Windows 7?
According to Microsoft website, if you are running Windows Vista on your PC, then you should not have any problem running Windows 7 on your PC too.
If your PC is not running Windows Vista or you are just not sure whether your PC is ready to run Windows 7, you can download Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to do a simple check againts your PC.
Download, install and run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. A detail report will be created telling you if your PC can run Windows 7, and if there are any known compatibility issues.
Before you run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, remember to plugin any external devices (e.g. USB printer and scanner) that you expect to use them with Windows 7.
Also be noted that, if you wish to install Windows 7 release candidate (RC) on your PC, Windows XP users are required to do a clean install of the Windows 7 RC as well as the final product. Only PCs with Windows Vista can be upgraded to Windows 7 directly.
