Windows Vista – List All Files in Current Directory and Sub-Directories

ADVERTISEMENTS

Sometime you may want to list all files in a directory and it's subdirectory so that you can view all files at a glance. This is a simple trick that you can do it in Windows Vista easily.

Use "My Computer" or Windows explorer to browse to the directory where you want to list all the files. On right-top of the window, type * in the search box and hit enter. Windows explorer will then list all the files. If you can't see what is expected to see, click Advance Search at the search result and then tick the box next to "Include non-indexed, hidden and system files (might be slow).

Please note that do not perform this trick at a directory with a tons of files! Your system will go crazy :p
